Dawson County is a special place and has a rich tradition of community support and academic achievement among all of its schools. I am very humbled and honored to serve as the first Principal of Dawson County Junior High School. We are
excited about all of the expanded course offerings and an iPad for each of our students. These changes will transform teaching and learning and provide a foundation for our students’ future successes. Additionally, we have plans to roll out our new student management system (Schoology), which will greatly improve communications between students, teachers, and parents. This past year has been one
of unprecedented change in Dawson County Schools and this upcoming year promises to be one full of new opportunities for all of our kids.
On a personal note: I’ve been an educator for 21 years and my professional experience includes high school and middle school teaching experience in Gwinnett and Forsyth counties in Technology Education as well as experience as a Local School Technology Coordinator. My administrative
experience includes both elementary and middle school levels. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Technological Studies and a master’s degree and specialist degree in Educational Leadership all from the University of Georgia.
I anticipate a great year at Dawson County Junior High School and I look forward to working with you!
