All students seeking to enroll in the school district should report to the Centralized Registration Center. The Center is located at the Dawson County Schools Technology Center, 517 Allen Street, Dawsonville, GA 30534. Upon completion of the registration process, the student will then be enrolled in the appropriate school and will be ready for scheduling upon entry into the school.

The following documents are required for school enrollment:

  • Official birth certificate (kindergarten and first-grade only)

  • Georgia Immunization Form and Vision, Hearing, and Dental Certificates. These forms can be obtained from the local Department of Public Health. Immunization forms from other states must be transferred to Georgia forms.

  • Proof of Residency: Examples of proof of residency include a house contract, lease agreement, utility bill, etc.

  • Social Security Number: At the time of initial enrollment, a social security number will be requested for each student in accordance with Georgia law. Social security numbers are not required for enrollment and no student will be denied enrollment for declining to provide his or her number. Parents may choose not to provide a social security number by signing a written waiver. A form provided by the school may be used for the waiver, or parents may simply provide a written objection with their signature.
